Tomato Basil Pizza

This pizza is super quick, super yummy, and just plain super! If you like unique pizzas, this easy pizza with a fancy taste is perfect for you! Almost everything I used was store bought and/or premade, but you can certainly make your own pesto, crust, or grate your own cheese! Let’s go!

What you will need: Pillsbury crust (yes the kind in the can, don’t judge me.) Classico premade basil pesto, shredded mozzarella cheese (you can also you fresh, but i don’t care for fresh mozzarella) Two Roma tomatoes, Parmesan cheese, and dried oregano leaves.

First you’ll need a pan. I’m using this rectangle shaped jelly roll pan. Grease it!

Get out your crust.

Open it until it pops. This part always makes me jump, isn’t that sad?

It comes in a little roll like this for easy use.

Unroll it and lay it on your pan, shape it however you’d like.

Keep in mind, the bigger your pan, the thinner your crust. This size pan made my crust pretty thick, which is what I wanted!

Get our your basil pesto, which is basically a mixture of basil leaves, garlic, olive oil and pine nuts. Make your own sometime, it’s fab!

When you open it up all the oil will have separated a little. So…

Give it a little stir.

And just spread it onto your crust. I made little piles and then spread it. You can also pre bake your crust a little if you want it a little more firm. I like soft crust!

Cover your dough.

Cover your dough and pesto with shredded (or fresh) mozzarella cheese.

Whip out your fresh Roma tomatoes.

Slice them up.

Thin or thick, whatever you prefer.

Add them to your pizza.

I also diced up the ends of the tomatoes (because I can’t slice the last half inch or so of a tomato without squishing it.) and added those on my pizza.

Add more cheese.

Add your Parmesan cheese and some dried oregano leaves on top, because oregano makes italian food better.

Bake it at 450 degrees for about 15 minutes. Of course your time will vary on how thin or thick your crust is, and how many toppings you have. :)

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. Hey baby.

Make it tonight, and send thank you gifts via UPS.

My daughter fixed the Tomato-Basil Pizza. My grandson, who eats nothing but Chicken Nuggets, loved it. I tried to find a condensed copy of the reciepe, but couldn’t. I would suggest you include that at the bottom of your wonderful photo instructions.

Thank you for a delicious meal my grandson will eat.
